Pilates Center of Chicago offers a classical, systematic, and integrative approach to Pilates. We believe in teaching the original Pilates method, as developed by Joe Pilates, involving the entire Pilates system and equipment. The sequence of exercises in the Pilates method limber the spine and keep the body anatomically balanced.
Pilates is good for all populations, from the beginner to the professional athlete. Our team is highly qualified to accommodate every individual, creating an inviting and energizing environment for clients, including those with injuries. We strive to increase body awareness and focus mental energies to achieve your fitness goals.
Clients work one-on-one with a certified instructor utilizing the entire Pilates system to customize and focus on their individual needs. In specific cases, the instructor can modify excercies for an injury, chronic pain or other requirements. Private sessions prepare clients for semi-privates and group equipment classes and can also be used periodically for refinement as clients seek the next level in their Pilates practice. All private sessions are made by appointment.
2-4 clients work with one certified instructor using the entire Pilates system, while still receiving individual attention for their specific needs. This is an energized session moving with more flow through the exercises. Clients need to be familiar with the apparatus in the system for a semi-private session. All semiprivate sessions are made by appointment.
